No response to the online inquiry function. I tried three times over several weeks. Now it's five days from the supposed deadline.
Furthermore, I could not find any Form 990 for this organization (they say they are a 501(c)3 on their website). Have they not been filing their Form 990s? There is no list of past grants to see who they are supporting. Could it be that the name “The 200 Foundation” is a front for another organization name so they can hide? The 200 Foundation is the opposite of transparency and accountability.

I don't really know. But I do know that if they are not open to receiving grant applications from organizations they are not already familiar with, then they have little interest in learning about their community and what awesome groups they don't know about are doing. Furthermore, this type of closed process typically excludes BIPOC-led organizations because they tend to be less connected to wealth and foundations.
Don't advertise a grant cycle when there is no way to access it! And answer your inquiries. Or else get rid of any reference to a grant cycle on your website.
