Pretty straightforward application. Helps if you have a connection to trustees. They will do a site visit if they are considering funding your application.

They seem to like to visit, and to get a sense of the leadership of the program. Depending on who visits, they may want to see the programs in action, or to just talk about strategy and numbers. They also like to consider making "challenge grants," so be open to negotiating a different kind of grantmaking relationship.
