We reached out to have an exploratory meeting with a particular person at this foundation at the advice of someone else. The person in question was very curt on the phone and asked if the person calling was soliciting for money. When she said no, the person hung up. When she called back, this person asked the same question and hung up again. She would have never called if she knew this was the result. My advice would be to ask for an introduction via email first.
