They don't offer a specific person you can contact- there is a basic email address on their information. This can make building a relationship challenging. They were responsive to the email, though.
Bad
Their application checks every "what not to do" box, and it shows that they don't understand non profits, much less equity and inclusion. It is unnecessarily long, and their grant amounts do not justify it. There were a LOT of detailed narrative questions, more than there are on some of the $75K grants for which we apply, and some were repetitive. The completed PDF of our application was 24 pages. For a $10K request. They do not fund requests that are primarily salaries or general op, which is why we have not applied before- they lifted this restriction due to COVID-19. They want you to have a diverse board that represents your client community, but they also want to know how much money the board gave to the organization last year and the percent who donated. They have a specific form you need to use for the budget portion. It is an unnecessarily arduous application.
Please take a long, hard look at your application, and edit it down with input from a consultant who knows grants and equity and inclusion.
They are clear in their funding priorities.

Interest areas are very difficult to fit into...even after conversations with staff about where you will fit and go through the process, you get rejected.
Doesn't "get" nonprofits and issues

Staff are easy to talk to during the application process, but feedback for why the proposal wasn't accepted is minimal.

They have their interest areas, but they seem to be very difficult to fit into and request funding for the right type of activity, etc. They do not fund salaries.
Interest areas don't seem to be a strong fit with current nonprofit issues.
