Medtronic Philanthropy devotes the majority of its resources to expand access to quality chronic disease care, helping address unmet health needs in underserved communities worldwide.

The Foundation’s current grant programs are:
• HealthRise: Expanding access to care and management of heart disease and diabetes. Community-based demonstration projects are initially focused on selected communities in Brazil, India, South Africa and the United States.
• HeartRescue Project: Improving how sudden cardiac arrest is recognized, treated and measured in the Unit-ed States.
