Advice from a Friend

Northland Foundation

Sep 25, 2019

Did not apply

The Director of Grantmaking makes snap judgments about potential grantee organizations based on assumptions that are inaccurate, without nuance and ignores context.

Northland also makes exceptions to its stated grantmaking priorities and applies those exceptions inconsistently.

Cons

Doesn't "get" nonprofits and issues, Bureaucratic, Risk averse
