The Women's Fund of Greater Birmingham has been amazing to work with. They work hard to help their grantees connect with one another and with other potential funders. We made our first connection with them through a Letter of Inquiry, even though they were already accepting grant applications. I think this approach was very useful with this Foundation. It enabled the programs officer to learn more about our project than the online application had room for. In the end, it worked out in our favor and we have been funded for consecutive years.
