I'm not sure what they are attempting to do other than support good works in the La Crosse area.

If you had one piece of advice to give to this funder (about grantmaking or anything else), what would it be?

Stop doing the non-profit get togethers. I don't think they accomplish the idea of collaboration. Grantees feel obligated to come and spend time that could be spent on programming. What outcomes are there for the events? Are they being achieved? I'm not sure that they understand collaboration enough to truly encourage it. Just because an NGO provides its services in a school, does not necessarily make them collaborative. Funding relationships are one-off programs rather than capacity building over time.

Grant application is confusing.
