The grant does take a lot of time and thought, which for some may be a barrier. Much of what was asked, we already had structure around or were able to provide with little extra work. Your project needs to be well thought out and you need a plan and team in place. I will say that we completed similar paperwork for a grant 10x this amount. For smaller organizations, the time may not be aligned with the amount of funding.

Your funding of school gardens makes a difference to many kids and schools. There was a lot of support information when we first received the grant but there is no continued relationship with grantees.
You may need to consider if the value of the grant aligns with the time it takes to put together all of the information you are asking. Also, consider that schools don't typically have someone that is a grant writer or is familiar with this process so that exacerbates the time necessary to complete- and it's likely someone that volunteers time.
The were responsive to questions and the provided information sessions made the expectations clear.

Please make your application more streamlined. Currently, the grant amount is not in balance with the work required to complete the grant. I have applied for government grants requiring less legwork - this application is very involved and particular. Thank you for supporting nonprofits!

This foundation has 11 page application & instructions for $1,500 grant AND applicants have to go through LOI process first... Its application for a $2,000 grant is over 40 questions long (8 pages + 4 pages of instructions).

Your application & instructions are 12 pages for a $2,000 grant. Your $1,500 grant applicants have to go through LOI process first... It is outrageous to waste precious time of non-profits and schools with such bureaucracy - SIMPLIFY IT!
