We applied for the 2 Million and Change grant opportunity. In order to do this, you have to find a Staples employee to sponsor you through the process. This was the most difficult part. Once you find a good sponsorship partner, the application process is quick and easy. The timeline between submitting the application and hearing back about if your grant request was approved is two to three months.

Finding a sponsor is challenging for the 2 Million and Change grant opportunity.

This foundation seeks to increase educational opportunities for youth who may not be getting the educational attention they deserve. Their 2 Million and Change grant program does a great job of vetting organizations to make sure the money is going to serve kids' educational goals.
Provide organizations with a more clear guideline on how to find an employee sponsor and how to foster that relationship.
The individual at the foundation that we corresponded with was extremely responsive. She would always answer phone calls (or call back in a timely matter) or respond to emails with questions promptly.
