This funder's application process goes through Bank of America. The application takes hours upon hours to complete because of all the financial, organizational, and programmatic details they want. They give very little for the amount of time it takes to complete the application. And it's even more disheartening when you put many hours into it and are declined.

I would advise them to reconsider the amount of financial questions they ask if an organization is requesting under $5,000. I don't find that it's a good use of time to give the last two fiscal year's funding sources, amount, status (includes pending/received), and term of the grant. It's also not a good use of time to complete a one- to two-page organizational summary that includes quite a bit of information gathering on top of the detailed programmatic questions already requested in the application.
