Becca, the program officer, is very friendly and nice. She seems overworked though.

It seems that their personal opinions and beliefs take precedence over what they list as their philanthropic goals and approach as stated on their website.
To please respect and trust the expertise of the organizations. The family members value their own business experience (in a different domain with seemingly less complexities) over the experiences of many of us who have been working in our fields for decades.
They don't seem to have a clear process, so best ask for clarity.
Their program officer treats organizations with respect.
