This is one of the best small community foundations you will find in the area. Like most foundations it is best to try and connect to pitch your idea and get to know each other. Cammie Vail, their ED is exceptional. She is very knowledgeable and always has great advice. She is very honest and will tell you if your project seems like a good fit for their organization. The donors are very active in choosing the grant recipients and they spend a lot of time getting to know their grantees. The application process is very straightforward and asks meaningful questions. They respond in a timely manner and always have a celebration after funding so the donors can meet the nonprofits and the larger community.

They follow-up with non-profits applying for grants if they have any questions, and offer opportunities for current grantees to meet.
