The application is long, detailed, and time-consuming. Get an early start on your research. Thankfully, they have moved to a two-year funding cycle, and full applications are only required every other year with a somewhat shorter interim report in the "off" year. In a full application year, you'll be invited to a 10-15 minute interview with the review panel (a.k.a. Allocations Committee). Come prepared for that--know your application content inside and out, and be ready to address any weak spots in your finances, attendance, etc.

Staff are available to answer questions during the application process, and are very helpful. But the actual decision-makers on the Allocations Committee, primarily made up of ArtsFund Board members and key figures in the corporate and philanthropic community, remain anonymous (and changes year-to-year). You don't really know who the decision-makers will be until you are in the room with them for your interview.

I appreciate that ArtsFund has broadened its equity lens and funding guidelines to include smaller organizations that were previously ineligible (or viewed as less competitive). But the original purpose of this funder--to aggregate and distribute funding from corporate sources, with a particular focus on companies that wanted to give without having to employ their own grant-making or sponsorship staff--has also broadened, and in a less helpful way. By pivoting to solicit support from foundations and individual donors as well, ArtsFund has become a direct competitor with the organizations it funds.
Per-organization funding appears to be on the decline among long-time grantees, while your expectations around the recognition and entertainment benefits you'll receive seem to be holding steady or increasing. Please consider a new balance.
