DRK is very good about having meetings and sharing feedback. They are responsive.

The staff are mostly MBAs with little experience in social enterprise in developing countries. As a result, they don't truly understand the challenges of social enterprises in emerging markets and their financial needs, focusing as a result on more successful white-led social enterprises working in developing countries than people of color due to the nature of their linkedin networks.
Be more transparent about what they don't like to fund from the start.
Tailor focused to social enterprise in developing countries.

Go elsewhere. They changed their story multiple times and asked for lots of detail which had to be repeated/re-shared. They did had staff turn over (red flag?) but that is not a sufficient excuse. In the end, they wasted a lot of our time without anything in return (even the final feedback they provided didn't make much sense).

Perhaps their goals are so narrowly defined that they can say they are accomplishing them. So maybe true but could easily be a slight of hand (it's easy to point to organizations they supported which were already rising but hard to really see if the foundation made any real difference).
