The process is excruciatingly slow, and the proposal includes many attachments requiring labels and duplicate copies to be mailed to their office. After jumping through their numerous hoops, submitting everything prior to the deadline (by mail), I called to verify receipt of our proposal only to discover it was lost. It took proof of delivery from the post office to finally force a search for our proposal. It was discovered. Then we waited 5 months for a decision and another 4 months for the actual grant to be paid. Was it worth it? If more grants are made annually in greater amounts, then yes.

There really isn't enough public information for me to make this determination.
Consider that most nonprofits have only one person responsible for writing grant proposals and managing program directors' input, budgets and reporting. Then consider whether your demands are reasonable in light of this.
Their interest in funding programs supporting mental health issues is rare and so urgently needed. I commend them for this.
