Grant Applicant - applied in 2016

This funder is fairly selective because they make a limited number of grants at a time.
Thus even if your org seems like a fit with prior grant-making, don't assume you'll be funded. Also, funding is typically for a max of thee or four years and a max of $25k/year.

Pros

Positive leader in the field, Gives more than money, Insightful, Friendly, Builds relationships, Likes site visits, "Gets" nonprofits and issues, Openminded, Responsive

Partner or work closely with this funder

Does site visit before funding and does a good job of participating in events to get to know CBO's better. Also willing to open up their networks to see if there are other people who should be involved or know what we do. Very realistic with what we can do with the money they give.

Pros

Gives more than money
