I don't have great wisdom to share here because they were already funding our organization when I came on board. It appears that the foundation feels most comfortable building a relationship with a nonprofit and sticking by them for the long term - something we are wildly grateful for. That said, I think if your organization fits their funding guidelines, there is no harm in reaching out. I will also note that several years ago, their grant checks stopped mentioning any restriction, indicating their trust in us - so very gratifying.

This may be intentional, but there is no website for the foundation, nor is there a contact email or phone number. When I had accidentally mailed them something and failed to keep a copy for myself, I had to mail them a letter asking for a copy (which they supplied).
Good
They give generously to a good number of local causes that align with their goals. They are having a tremendous impact.
I would encourage them to explore moving their application process online, even if their portfolio is small. Most nonprofits have become accustomed to this approach and prefer it. Having a contact email address would be enormously helpful, too, for quick questions that don't merit writing a letter. In fact, you might find yourself receiving the occasional program update and photo or video if you did so. :)
Not that I can think of.
They clearly are focused on building relationships with organizations they trust and can count on to further their mission. They don't require crazy amounts of reporting, either.
