My experience with the VHS Foundation is a bit unique. The Foundation which operates mainly in York County Maine has selected non-profit capacity building as one of its funding priorities. As a result of their generosity, the Foundation has been offering a set of seminars focusing on all aspects of non-profit organizational strengthening. In addition to personally visiting most if not all of grant recipients, the Foundation also offers capacity building grants.
