Agnes M. Lindsay Trust does a good job of funding the most applicants they can reasonably accommodate. Their small grants provide leverage for small capital needs (e.g., equipment, etc.) and for summer camp funds for low-income children. They have a web site that is very simple but tells you everything you need to know. The application and reporting process are simple, nothing out of the ordinary. They respond (email) to requests for information pretty promptly. They are great about funding smaller organizations that may not have access to larger funders.

I love their approach to summer camperships - they define it broadly as in most types of summer programs for kids whether it's day camp, overnight camp, or arts/music/sports programs, etc.
Could provide more feedback on denied applications (this is true of most funders). One client I have keeps getting the funds year after year, but another client got it one year and never again. We gave up after two denials after getting the first grant. "We get so many applications, we can't fund them all" is not very useful feedback.

Keep it simple. Be sure you attach what they want to the application
