Good
Very accessible. Always respond to emails. Emails are short and to the point. Not a lot of flowery language.
Good
Foundation has a relatively small amount to invest in a focused geographic area. They support capacity building and longer-term strategies as well as shorter-term programs. They trust the nonprofits they work with. They are great to work with.
Thank you for how you responded during COVID. You were pro-active and we appreciated it.
This funder pays attention, reduces paperwork, though the application can be a bit complicated (but if you have trouble, contact the ED and they will help.) They are supportive, and you can be honest with them. Tell them what you really need even if it is not the kind of thing most funders want to support.
Their executive director and their board are hardworking, well-informed and very serious people. They pay attention to what is happening in the community.
