Be prepared to be micromanaged by your program officer. But not in a good way. They claim to want to partner with you, but in reality, you are an extension of them and they treat you like a junior staff. They won't let you move forward without their approval and cancel meeting after meeting when you try to get their approval/buy in on a strategy/activity. They really don't respect your time or expertise.
