Grant Applicant - applied in 2021
The initial LOI is the length of an application, and then the full application is unbelievably long. The instructions are 12 pages, single-spaced with endless questions that they ask you to answer in a 20-page response, plus attachments listing all kinds of unnecessary information.

Good
Responsive to questions.
Bad
Their mission is too broad geographically and in terms of focus, lots of wasted NGO time filling out their applications.
Shorten the application by 75%. Only ask for essential information that is directly in proportion to the amount of funding and nothing more. Do not make the application so long and complicated that someone from the underserved communities you aim to reach could never fill it out.
