Although they say they accept unsolicited proposals, they really don't so email a program officer first. The foundation has changed a lot -- used to be really collaborative. Now very nit-picky and trying to tell you how to revamp your work. Some of the ideas are good. Others just reinforce that rich white people think they know best.

Like our other funders, Erb was great during the early days of COVID -- very flexible. Our project grant was converted to general purpose so we were able to buy laptops for our staff to work from home. That was a life-saver.
