Reviewer 6099 - Grant Applicant - applied in 2019
The OCCF is being very difficult in their iFund grant these days. Policies seem to change on a whim and differ from what is in the RFP (as well as what is said in meetings). I know of one organization that was asked to make multiple changes and resubmissions and the application was still declined. We were assured that we met their requirements and then were told - after spending time on an application - that we did not. In talking with colleagues, I know I am not the only person very frustrated right now.
I hope it will change and I will resubmit another review if that happens.

They were supposed to research my eligibility and get back to me. But they didn't. They are pleasant to visit with, though.

They are requiring that nonprofits jump through a lot of hoops to get this funding. This has reached the "burden" level.
Please decide what you want to fund, make it clear to nonprofits, then stick to it.
This seems to be a recent hiccup in the organization, perhaps from changing leadership. We are hoping this all levels out soon.
Historically, they have been willing to fund new programs and they used to be fairly consistent in their practices.
