Reviewer 1570 - Grant Applicant - applied in 2020
We are a new organization and our leadership met with one of the application reviewers prior to requesting a grant. We were told we would not be approved but to keep them informed of our progress.
We then officially applied about 18 months later and were turned down. We waited another two years and applied again. The person we originally applied to responded to us almost immediately that he could not help us, seemingly without time to even review our application to see the modifications and changes we had made to our organization and thoughtfully respond.

Sent an LOI and got a quick response. After a site visit and meeting, we were invited to write a proposal. We dreamed big and threw everything in there because the sky was the limit. While offered less than we asked for, it was still quite an investment and we were new to working with them. It also went quickly from LOI to site visit to cash in our hands
They're data-driven, equity is important, and they have specific initiatives so each program manager works a specific set of subject areas
Positive leader in the field, Insightful, Likes site visits, "Gets" nonprofits and issues
