This foundation heavily promotes themselves in the media, but based on our experience and the experience of others in the field I would not recommend applying to them for funding. They are poorly run and do not review proposals within any stated timeframe.

They can be reached via phone, but rarely respond to email. Their default response via phone is that they have the application and it will be reviewed at the next board meeting.

After several years of being told that our application is under review, we have yet to receive an answer. I know of at least one organization whose application by this finder wasn’t reviewed (and was eventually approved) until after the person who wrote it left the organization. Ironically, the grant was to fund their position.
We applied for funding and, several years later, have not received a response even though we have talked to their staff several times and they assure us that our proposal is being reviewed at the next meeting.
