Work to engage the employees at the foundation, they are wonderful to work with and great partners! They prefer to focus on projects with significant milestones, such as large anniversaries.

Keep up your support in our local community. We are lucky to have you in Minnesota!
They do a great job of being not just a funder, but a community partner for our organization. Their foundation staff have taken time out of their day to visit our program to see it in action!

This is not an open foundation. Their giving is in health, which is aligned with their business aspirations. They do not actively seek proposals or information from the community.

If you are not already a grantee, it is difficult to know who is in the Foundation or if there is any way to talk with a foundation officer.

Very limited programming that is often directed by the Foundation, rather than coming from the community.
Perhaps there are ideas for improving health beyond the Medtronic vision. It would be nice to see the Foundation connect in the communities where Medtronic has a presence.
Once you are in, Medtronic is a great partner. They ask good questions and work to understand each project on a very deep level.
Their sponsorship of the Twin Cities marathon is legendary. (Actually, where those funds come from within the company is unclear.)
