HRK Foundation is one of our organization's favorite funders. They take the time to understand the needs of our organization. They have a simplified grant application/funding process so that once you've been funded, you build a relationship instead of having to resubmit the same information year over year. They are a great organization to work with.

We have been funded by this organization for multiple years. They are great to work with and have an easy to use online process. I wish more funders had application and reporting processes like their organization.

They are invite only. Check funded orgs to see what they like, and you will probably set your mind at ease about their closed process. Relatively small number of grants.

It's best to share your idea(s) with grant facilitators before applying. Prepare a clear and brief description of idea(s) and need previous to discussion. Grant facilitators are timely in responding to if you should move forward in developing a further relationship

I applaud their efforts toward being a more equitable funder.
You must tell them what actions your organization is taking to meet the foundation's equity goals.

The staff are wonderful to work with and do amazing work in the community. Although they do not accept unsolicited requests, they have been highly generous to those who they have a relationship with, and have been leaders and innovators in the local field of philanthropy.

The HRK Foundation's new 2017 resolution to view all future grantmaking through the lens of racial equity and inclusion is an innovative and brave step towards making our state a wonderful place for ALL Minnesotans.
