Do not send out grant rejections on a Friday at 5pm before a long weekend. really???
If you get rejected, they tell you to apply again. Don't do it!
They have a clear focus area.

Sprouts will consider a variety of programs related to nutrition, access to food, health literacy regarding nutrition. The staff is unbelievably supportive. If you have a program that aligns with the foundation's mission, definitely apply.

Good
I encountered a problem with the online platform. No one should be shocked to learn that Blackbaud was absolutely no help. (I don't know why funders continue to use it. Even they complain about the customer service.) One of Sprouts' staff members went into my application to help me resolve the issue. Amazing support!
Good
Sprouts funds a lot of organizations in the U.S. and around the world. Kudos!
Move your application from Blackbaud to ZoomGrants, Award Alley, Foundant or any other platform. Blackbaud staff gives funders terrible advice as well.
As I mentioned, customer service is outstanding. I also appreciate that it will consider non-traditional nutrition programs.

They are new at funding through online grants, so it changes and they're learning each year. That's the good part. The bad part is they give vague guideline and then don't give an opportunity for feedback. We haven't been funded for 2 years and I don't know if we're aiming for the wrong thing or if it's just not a good fit.

It's really hard to know because they don't communicate very well. They have written guidelines and focus areas, but we fit in those and haven't been funded so it's hard to know if what they're funding is reaching their goals.
Please give feedback, or at least a "this is not likely to be funded" section of the FAQ
