Grant Applicant - applied in 2021
Elaborate corporate application. Little to no communication between the foundation admin and nonprofits. On top of that, the application status is never updated in the portal. We applied for $10,000 in the 2021 spring cycle…crickets…until Dec. 15, when the foundation rep had the nerve to email the ED at 11:45 am with a second application due that afternoon. This resulted in a 2.5k grant award.
Doesn't "get" nonprofits and issues, Difficult to work with, Culturally incompetent, Bureaucratic

Bad
Local organizations agree that applications and funder cultivation efforts are a waste of time. The typical grant award appears to be 2.5k, with an occasional 5k here and there.
Condense the application and include a decision/notification window.
This is not a prospect worthy of cultivation for corporate sponsorship, underwriting, etc.
