Program officers are accessible, but not consistently. Emails often take several prompts to receive answers.

This foundation believes health and well-being should be accessible by all, but has shifted its priorities over the past several years (for example, no longer funding food system work).
The biggest issue we have had is in applying for Rapid Response funding. We have applied two years in a row. The decision is supposed to be made in 30 days (rapid response), but we have waited four months and now two months for a decision - on issues that are truly rapid response. If the foundation is going to offer rapid response grants, they should align with that timeline. One way or another, a decision would be helpful in future planning.

Do not ask so many questions; do not ask for demographic tables - ask for a narrative instead; and ask for a budget instead of just a financial narrative. If implemented, all these changes would make the grant quicker to complete.
