We were invited to complete a profile to allow us to be eligible for corporate matching grants. The form we were directed to was identical to the kind of proposal that would be appropriate for a significant corporate grant, complete with restricted budget information, full board lists, including middle names, and detailed information about all of our beneficiaries and partners. It seemed so out of scope compared to other corporate matching profiles that I reached out to double-check that we were sent the right link--although the header clearly said corporate matching. The person who eventually (~10 days) responded confirmed that it was the right form and just apologized for the thoroughness. While he was perfectly pleasant and friendly, I was left with the feeling that no one had thought this through.

Their responsiveness was pretty slow.
I can't really comment. We are not appropriate for a partnership beyond corporate matching for them.
I think that they have a well thought out pre-application process to ensure that prospective partners really meet their needs.

I was very disappointed with my conversation with CISCO Foundation. It was very difficult to get a meeting, which I'm glad I did because the grant application process on their website is long and lengthy. Even though they support non-profits, they don't like to support two non-profits targeting the same problem. Because they funded another non-profit with a similar mission, they didn't want to support another one solving the same problem in a different way. I found this quite short-sighted and narrow-minded. Take a look at their portfolio and if they have funded any like-minded organizations, they probably will not be interested in supporting yours.

I had to get connected through a CISCO employee.
As a funder, you should be supporting likeminded organizations trying to solve the problem. No one NGO is going to have a magic bullet to eradicate the problem globally.
Since you are focused on technology, please give more consideration to women-led technology projects.
Focus on technology for good.
Grant Applicant - applied in 2017
Applications for Silicon Valley Impact Grants come out in February and are only open for two weeks. Be sure to have all data/outcomes you will want to provide for your program before this time.
Applied and not funded
Left messages during the application process (grant application link did not originally work) and never heard back. Never responded to grant application either; we only know we didn't get it by checking their website and seeing we weren't on their list of NPO's funded this year.
Let applicants know if they got funding; and please respond to messages regarding application process- especially in regards to technical glitches.
Application allowed room (word/character counts) to fully explain program and impact program makes.
