This fund is not as viable as in the past because the bank managing it has changed many times now is the last couple of years. The geographic area is still Longmont, CO but the it is run by a bank in Fort Collins. This group no longer sends out notices to those NOT getting funds. So there is constant tracking. Also, the fund dollars continue to be less every year.

The biggest surprise - HARD COPIES. With very specific collation requirements.
Doesn't "get" nonprofits and issues, Difficult to work with, Culturally incompetent, Bureaucratic

2020
Bad
During their 2020 grant cycle (height of the initial wave of the pandemic, businesses shut down, etc) they refused to accept grant applications virtually. This required our grant writer to use her home printer to print over 100 pages and deliver it to the bank.
Average
With a recent shift in banks that are hosting the fund, it has gotten more insular, requiring a prior grantee relationship with the funder to receive communication. This excludes new or emerging programs from engaging.

This funder only works in the St. Vrain Valley School District in Colorado. Guaranty Bank's Trust Department manages the application process. Done in conjunction with the Ray Lanyon fund. Grant may come from either source.
Friendly, "Gets" nonprofits and issues

Still into lots of paper copies. Not an on-line process.
If you aren't local, don't bother. Seem to support mostly grass roots organizations. Grants seem to range between $1,000 to $10,000.
