The LOI stage isn't very hard. You may need to track down some data for a template. For their education funding it is harder for education advocacy organizations to follow their template since it looks more designed for direct service orgs. They give out one grant with multi-year funding. If you don't get it one year try again in the future. Each grant committee is different so priorities within the grant committee may change.

The funder is a collective group of philanthropist who make pooled gifts. By nature of this design the demographics of who makes the gifts is skewed to people with means and time to participate. They are making attempts to be aware of the privilege and power dynamics they have in being a grant funder.
Be aware of how privilege shows up and be attuned to community needs.
Good multiyear funding if you secure a grant. They only give one grant per grant round so it is competitive.
