Grant Applicant - applied in 2015
They are very bad at communicating with agencies that want to apply to them. In our case, we were trying to find out if they were going to renew our donor-advised funding. We got absolutely no reply to multiple emails; then, out of the blue, a check came in the mail, with no explanation of what it was for or how they arrived at the amount.

Grant Applicant - applied in 2010
They have very narrowly defined their funding objectives (which change every few years) and are not very open to thinking beyond those objectives. Plus, the program officer in our funding area is not approachable or friendly. They also have eliminated the open application round completely for 2016, and the previous model required extension documentation for relatively small grants ($10k)
