Definitely utilize their "office hours" where a representative will meet with you and discuss how you should proceed during the process. We found this extremely helpful.

The folks at the Tower Foundation are extremely accessible via face-to-face meet and greets, email, and phone. After not being awarded the initial grant we were going after, they provided useful feedback, encouraged us to try again and helped us figure out which grant to pursue. Very thankful for their help.

40 hours was high but had more to do with our team developing a new concept than the difficulty of the Tower application.

The program officers do an excellent job of collaborating with grant applicants. If you are invited to prepare a full proposal, they ask great questions and offer suggestions that make for a stronger proposal.

The Tower Foundation staff are probably some of the most accessible in the field. They respond to inquiries quickly and are always willing to have a call prior to applying to provide advice.
