We appreciate that they are located and yet they are interested to fund in Cleveland. We feel that they have thoughtful questions during visits, and truly care about making a difference.
If you had one piece of advice to give to this funder (about grantmaking or anything else), what would it be?
Keep offering the option to do a grant renewal. We are grateful for that option, as it's challenging with other funders when they make us start all over with a new application.
Is there anything else that'd be useful for others to know to understand this funder?
When an Angell rep comes to Cleveland, be considerate of the time and offer some great program elements to experience. It results in an enjoyable visit for all!

The process is very thorough, clear, and concise. Prior to submitting a proposal, you need to make sure that you meet the applicant criteria and have all documents such as 501-C3, proposed budget, etc.. ready to be submitted.
