This small family foundation is very clear about its guidelines and processes. Check their website before attempting to reach out to the staff, as you may get the answers you need.

This was a new funder for us, and I have been thrilled to work with them. Their expectations are clear and concise, they have a streamlined LOI and grant process, and there are no overly cumbersome/unrealistic reporting metrics. Love PAMF!

The PO is also really responsive and has made consistent efforts to attend our activities, which I really appreciate in a funder.
Good
They are a very generous funder, and have cast a wide net of funding -- note they are mostly very established orgs (all listed on their website, so points for transparency).
Nope. I like them. If they are happy, I am happy.
As is generally best practice, I would study who they have funded in the past and at what amounts to see what makes sense in terms of scope/project before applying. It's great that they make so many years available. And, check out their "Grant Writing Tips" which are legit helpful.
It's so lovely to work with a funder who is clear about what they want and not overly prescriptive about what that is -- they let a nonprofit do it's job.

Contact them directly to ask questions or pitch an idea. My organization ultimately did not apply for a grant because we were not a great fit for some of the Foundation's parameters, but we were grateful that the Foundation's Managing Director responded immediately (same day) and in a supportive way to our email inquiry.

Their staff is very responsive and although their website does not have a great level of detail it's worth reaching out to talk to them about your program or organization.

Very accessible - I originally connected with them via a cold call/email and it results in a multi-year connection with increased funding every year!
Average
Their goals aren't super clear/are very broad, which is actually kind of great for organizations to try to fit into...I'm not sure how great it is for them to measure their success in any way however.
Keep up the communication - you guys are great at being responsive!
Communication - they always respond to any email or phone call, even small ones inviting them to something or sharing something!

Grant application is relatively simple and you'll likely already have much of the information prepared in other formats for other grants. Foundation initially reached out to us. (Not other way around.)

Good
Very accessible. Rather than simply denying applications they feel haven't adequately answered its questions, they reach out and ask you to re-answer.
Good
Very open to listen to nonprofit partners to understand how their support can be most effective in achieving mutual goals.
Does not provide capital support. Period.

After a conversation about ongoing needs, awarded us a multi year program grant and one year general operating grant. Genuinely interested in lessons learned and program improvements. Short application and report that focus on key points.
