They need to understand that funding is tight and not all projects can be fully funded even though they are needed programs. I think it's important for people to do their research regarding what types of programs funders fund and average amounts.

I like the award process of having a special day to recognize grantees and present the grant check at that service. This allows the grantee to meet some of the Board Members and to meet other non-profit leaders within the community.
