Since you don't know why you didn't get selected or what they're looking for, it can be disheartening to keep applying. Form rejection letters don't divulge much, and just telling folks to apply next year after being told that over 350 applicants overwhelmed them this year isn't helpful.

Regarding WWF's Pooled Fund Grants ($100,000 for general operating support): They hold outreach sessions and a webinar in advance, and are good about answering questions prior to organizations submitting an LOI. But there is no way to get feedback on why an organization's LOI was not selected for a request for full proposal, which makes their member-driven panel review process seem less than transparent and possibly more relationship-based than is advertised.
