The Kendeda Fund is spending down the majority of its funds by 2024, so it’s unclear whether they are adding any new grantees at this time. They care a lot about child marriage in Southeast Asia and that largely guides all of their philanthropy. They are easy to work with.

Pros

Positive leader in the field, Insightful, Friendly, Builds relationships, "Gets" nonprofits and issues, Openminded

The Kendeda Fund team is very approachable, and they really understand the substance of the work of implementation partners. It is best to have a meeting with you main point of contact prior to applying. This will enable you to understand their budget and priorities in order to submit a proposal that is as relevant as possible.
