The pre-grant conversation with the Program Officer is beyond helpful in adjusting and fine-tuning your request. They know what the key points to the grant review are and will let you know what areas the proposal needs to highlight in order for it to get it's best review.

Definitely schedule a "Discovery Call" with a Next50 staff person, They offer many appointment times and it is easy to sign up. Regardless of your level of experience as a grant writer, I think the call is valuable and time well spent.

I can't say enough really about this funder and how they work to make the experience a positive one for the grant applicant and recipient. I included "Gives more than money" because I have learned a lot from working with this funder.
The staff at Next50 Initiative are very approachable and respectful of the limited time non profit staff have available. For example, at mid-year and end of year, they meet with you for an oral report/conversation about your nonprofit's progress and they write it up into a report for you and submit it. WOW!
