The Program Officers are open, transparent and direct. They don't play games; we have found the grantmaking to be reflective of their values and their culture. A smiley face doesn't do them justice.

Pros

Positive leader in the field, Gives more than money, Risk taker, Culturally sensitive, Insightful, Friendly, Builds relationships, "Gets" nonprofits and issues, Openminded

Best to attend a meeting for broad information and parameters of the grant. Afterwards set up a 1-on-1 meeting for a much better understanding of their focus.
