This funder is very accessible, very helpful throughout the process, does not require an inordinate amount of paperwork and is very interested in funding organizations/initiatives that match the vision and mission of the funder and its governing authority.

The process was incredibly seamless. As a start-up non-profit Founder, having someone walk through the process and answer my inquiries meant a lot. I highly recommend their system and staff to anyone seeking funding for their 501c3.

The Program Officers are open, transparent and direct. They don't play games; we have found the grantmaking to be reflective of their values and their culture. A smiley face doesn't do them justice.

The Program Team works hard so isn't always able to provide immediate responses, but when you connect they are terrific.
Good
As I said above, they strive for alignment with their values and succeed more than any other funder we work with.
Consider sharing your grantmaking theory and practice widely with others in Florida philanthropy.

Go to the website and use the tutorial to get started. Then if you have questions feel free to contact and get additional help. They are very responsive, friendly and helpful. I am a 2 time recipient and they helped walk me through the process as this was my first experience with Grants.

They may not be the largest Foundation but they make a big difference and really understand people and passion for mission.
They are very good at communicating.

Best to attend a meeting for broad information and parameters of the grant. Afterwards set up a 1-on-1 meeting for a much better understanding of their focus.
