Answer all the questions in details. Don't take for granted that funder know something about your agency. have your grant reviewed by two or more trusted friends or if possible someone who has scored grants and give you feedback.

Reach out to the Foundation to share with them your program and you will receive honest feedback if they think the program will be a good fit for Allegany Franciscan Ministries.

This funder is being successful in funding programs to better the overall health and wellness of our communities.
Continue to involve the community in assisting in identification of barriers to service and various needs to fill the gaps.
They are one of the easiest funders to work with. Just need to be honest with them if outcomes need to be changed and/or you need to extend the project deadline.
Engage the community and works well with other funders.

I would suggest calling for assistance. They are very helpful and supportive. Read the information as to who and what is funded as there are clear guidelines.

I think fewer candidates should make it to the final round because it’s A LOT of effort and resources out into grant writing for small chance of being funded.

Very. But my view on the whole funding structure for non profits is that foundations should select organizations that align with their mission and produce quality outcomes and find them until they dints. Having to apply in a bidorcared system does not foster strength in an organization.
Good
Again, it would be better to direct efforts in building the capacity of those who do what you want to meet ever ending needs and affect more impact on a societal level than to spread money around to many organizations. The partnership among us would be much stronger and changes of approaches could be accommodated in real time.
Visit us...frequently. You will understand the overwhelming needs and challenges associated with meeting them on limited budgets. The people that work in non profits tend to be compassionate and often go underpaid and overworked. Funders always seem to want more for less, never taking into account the rising costs of health insurance, equipment and cost of living for dedicated staff. Funding programs for the same amount each year does not take these contextual issues into account.
Truly grateful this funder exists.
Funded once and denied another time.
Stick to their values. This is the most beautiful thing about this funder. They genuinely care about the original mission.

It's a pleasure to work with a faith-based funder. Many of our society's problems are, at root, spiritual problems. Allegany gets it and funds compassionate solutions.

Approach it as if you are going on a date. On your first date. Just get to know everything that you can, don't rush it. Down expect to go to an expensive restaurant on the first date. If you're not accepted, don't take it personally continue to follow your dreams. If you are chosen to go on a second day. Expect a better restaurant and a closer relationship.. But at times you go on your third date. But more is required of you. Keep your word. Impress towards A great life long relationship with the organization..

To come in to our hurting community and offer assistance based on the needs that the Lincoln park community has. I'm looking forward to see what the next year will bring for the common good initiative. I'm excited. And hoping that I am one of the chosen One for the common good..
don't give up on us. It may not be a large group of us. Help us each teach one.
Always remember to mean what you what you say and say what you mean in your community.
