Our non profit had our first experience with this funder. The application process was logical and user friendly. The funder also held seminars to explain nature of project and best use of funds. Many resources were provided to aid in achieving goals and objectives of grant and assist non profit requesting the grant,. The project manager associated with the grant was very accessible and helpful in providing information and answering questions. .

In attending the seminar about the grant the funder gave history of organization and it appears that they are very successful in achieving their philanthropic goals. Funder's website also was also helpful in providing information on it's success.
Give information to non profits how they can assist in helping the funder continue it's service to the communities served.
Funder is exceptional on explaining their goals and mission and providing useful resources including seminars in the importance of the projects in serving undeserved communities.

My experience has been very positive. The people from Allegany Franciscan Ministries that I have worked with have been very accessible and very supportive.

At least for 2018, which is when we were funded it was a huge help for us. The funding that Allegany Franciscan Ministries provided was key to getting one of our pilots started, which today continues to run and grow. They also funded a statewide campaign that was just starting out, and they saw the potential and supported it.
Maybe, depending on where they are located, we would love more site visits to get more face to face time with them, but we understand that's not always possible because of distance and time.
When I call them they always answer.

Not really, they do an exceptional job and love that they communicate so honestly.

I refer colleagues all the time as I inform them the Allegany Franciscan Ministries organization and staff are reliable, reputable, and respectable, and totally stand behind their mission. For your Capacity Building grant opportunities; please don't disregard the smaller organizations whom are doing the most, with minimum to zero capacity. These organizations get denied often due to lack of capacity, however if never provided the opportunity (by being awarded such grants), they don't stand a chance at building capacity, or sustainability of their organizations.
