The process is straight forward and relatively simple. Be sure to know the grant guidelines, make sure you understand the scope of what the Gilroy Foundation will fund and call them if you have any questions. The GF is very accessible and approachable.

Gilroy Foundation is easy to work with. They are always willing to have a dialogue even prior to submitting our application. They also have been great to work with this year given the flexibility required in how grant funding can be used due to the pandemic.

This process was fairly easy to complete. I was granted my full requested amount. Be sure to include an accurate and complete budget with the application.
Know what your need is and make sure you express to the foundation the exact terms of that need.

I have mentored quite a few colleagues and suggested they try to write a grant. They were surprised at the ease of submitting the application. Writing for something when you have a passions is the key.
