Connect with the program team first. They are super helpful; open to questions; and give good advice. Try to get them in for a site visit because that can make all the difference.

Excellent! CFF program team is very responsive; open to questions; and gives good advice. They really want to get to know the grantees and they're invested in who they fund.

The 2020 grants of food insecurity and housing instability gave nonprofits the opportunity to apply for a range of angles within the funding area. This made it a very inclusive process and allowed many organizations to find a philanthropic fit. Thank you!
Nothing comes to mind right now. Maybe this: One of our funders has a grantee reception, which I think is another opportunity to get to know the program team. Also, it's a good way to meet the other grantees and have the opportunity to socialize on a little more personal level. One of the grantees could also host the grantee reception at their facility.
Just a clarification on an above question: In 2019 and 2020, some of the grants didn't require that much time and others were a little bit more extensive. Very open-minded funder that welcomes different ideas and perspectives. Thank you!
Funded for both the amount requested, as well as for lesser amount.
CFF is truly interested in the work their grantees are doing. They are super helpful throughout the entire grant process. The entire program team is very knowledgeable in general about the philanthropic landscape in Denver. Great to work with!

This funder really reaches into the community to address and support needs in a variety of arenas.
We received 2 grants to help our satellite clinic in Wheat Ridge (Jefferson County) survive the major financial hit of COVID-19.
What they say is what they'll do. i.e. respond to submitted grant applications that they've received them, and then replying when promised with their decision.
